Our Story
In 2022 Ukraine was attacked by Russian Forces in the second phase of the war started in 2014. As Ukrainian immigrants it hurt us to see our family and friends under the constant threat of bombing from Russian forces. Many people fled to neighboring countries, including Poland, as refugees. Mostly women and children since men were drafted into combat. In many of those countries they struggled to get the medical services they needed to combat illnesses sustained while fleeing or chronic medical issues. For many months we only donated to organizations that sent medical supplies to Ukraine, but for us that wasn’t enough. We decided, we had to go there. We found an organization that would take medical mission trips to Warsaw, Poland. What we saw was a medical crisis. With the resources we had, we were able to form a mission trip of our own, partnering with a Baptist church in Warsaw. There we provided medical care and medication to Ukrainian refugees who would otherwise have to wait months to see a provider. The amount of people we saw was tremendous, many need constant care and there was much more work needed to do.
We have gone on over a dozen trips since then with many different providers and volunteers, and it is thanks to their work and your donations that we are able to continue our work
